I don't know how I missed this post for so long, but I just went to the article and read it. It's really, really good -- thanks for posting the link.
The last paragraph is a quote from this girl's doctor. He says, about trying meds vs. diets,...
“If there’s a message, it’s not to give up,” he said. “(Parents) should do everything possible to maximize the quality of life of their child, but at the same time, never, ever give up. Because there will be other things coming down the pike.”
Here's to everything coming down the pike for our kids. Can't come soon enough.
