joeys story

my name is stacy navarro i am from gonzales tx. a smalltown that not that many people know what epilepsy is and i was one of them but i learnd quick what it was. i have a three year old that has epilepsy. i was told that he had epilepsy on christmas day of 08. and ever since then  hes had a spell every month . sometimes two or three a week. in may of 09 he was airlifted to san antonio because he had a really bad one and he wasnt responding to nothing they didnt think he was going to make it. joeys fisrt doctor put him on two meds. keppra, trileptol. but he was still having his spells. and he would say well go up on the dose at every appt. and his behavior was different he was becoming very mean and that is not like joey he was a good baby that never cried. and the doc. told me that well go down on his meds. i wasnt gitting nowhere with this doc. so i went to joeys pedatriction and he tol me about another doc. that this one was one of the best in texas that deals with kids that have epilepsy.so hes seeing him now he put him on a new med. so hes tahing three meds everyday. i hope that these meds. can control his spell.because i dont think his little body can take anymore. i dont think that i can either. thanks for reading my story!!!
