modified adkins diet

Hello, everyone! My name is Betty,and my sons name is John. He is 17 years old. I was wondering if any of the Mom's have tried the modified adkins diet for seizures? I have read about the great results people are getting with the diet. I am going to try it. I want to buy the book,but none of the stores I've called have it. Does anyone have it? Hi Betty:

I wanted to wish you a warm welcome to the chat forum.  My daughter has not been on the modiied Atkins, but I know many parents who have tried it with much success.

There are many great resources here on this site.  There are at least three podcasts on the Ketogenic diet that may give you some valuable insight.  Also - you can locate guidance at http://www.atkinsforseizures.com/

I'm so sorry that you have to go down this road, but there are many people on this site that have provided me much compassion and understanding.  You're certainly not alone in this and I hope you can have great success with the diet for your son.
