Epi-still

Hi my name is Danae and I'm new to this site.  We have tried a natural product called Epi-still and have had great success with our youngest son who was diagnosed at 4. He has been seizure free for almost 2 years. Has anyone else tried this?

Epi-Still

Danae,

I am glad to hear it has worked for you. My 4 year old dd was just dx with atypical generalized absence seizure (she only has about 5-10 seizures a day with none lasting longer than 15-30 seconds) and have decided against starting her on medication until I see if the Epi-Still will work along with a modified atkins diet.  Where did you order the Epi from and how quickly did you see results? What is the dosage for your child? Have you seen any side-effects from it?Is he on medication along with the Epi-Still? What type of seizures does your son have?

Sorry for all the questions, I am new to this and looking for answers.

Thank you,

Jennifer

Hi, We order it from this

Hi,

We order it from this web site http://www.nativeremedies.com/products/epistill-normal-neuron-activity-neurotransmitters.html?ysmchn=GGL&ysmcpn=Google+Main&ysmgrp=Product+Name&ysmtac=PPC

This is a great web site that explains all about it. My son was on conventional medications when he first started taking Epi-Still but we have since taken him off those and he just takes the Epi-Still now. The dose is one drop of the age of the child in 1/4 cup of water 3 times a day. So for instance, my son is 7 so he takes 7 drops, 3 times a day.

He was diagnosed at the age of 4 with Absence Seizures. He was having several a day and many that we didn't see according to his doctors. He also had a few larger seizures lasting almost a minute, the last one being Christmas Day 2007. That being the last seizure we have seen him have.

We have contemplated taking him off the Epi-Still to see if he has maybe outgrown the disorder but are kind of leary about it. We have another son who the Epi-Still I think has helped to control his seizures but he is still having several a day.

I hope this helps you with your questions, if not let me know.

Epi-Still Results

Danae,

I started Amelia on the Epi-Still Thursday afternoon and wondering when I would start seeing any improvement. She has been staying about the same but today her teacher said she had about a dozen (in 3 hours) which is unusual for such a short period of time. Maybe she was just off, I mean how could you notice that many with 20 kids running around.  Anyway, I also started her on 100mg of B6 which I have been told can really help with brain function.

I did have a few questions, how long b/f you noticed results in your child? Does it need to be refridgerated b/c it doesn't say so on the bottle? Do you know if its ok to give w/other vitamins at the same time?  Any other info you have would be really helpful.

Thanks,

Jennifer

Jennifer, I can't

Jennifer,

I can't remember how quickly we saw results, but it seems to me it didn't take very long. (We started using it several years ago and my memory isn't that good, sorry! Ha!) I do know that we ran out of a supply once and had a few days to wait before the next one was delivered and we saw an increase in seizures while we waited. This was in the beginning, now we can skip doses and not notice any change. So its a good idea to keep an eye on the amount you have and order more so you don't run out.

We don't keep it refridgerated, just in our medicine cupboard. We give our boys a daily vitamin and have not had any issues. I'm not a doctor so I don't want to say whether its ok or not but like I said we havn't had any issues.

Epi-Still may not be for everyone. My oldest takes it and he still has several siezures a day. Please let me know if you see any improvement with Amelia.
