Support North American Cyclist, Glen Fenster Raising Funds for Epilepsy!

Great News!

North American Cyclist Glen Fenster, raising funds to support epilepsy, arrives in British Columbia next week! Glenn’s mission - to raise 250,000.00 for support services and increase awareness of epilepsy – a cause he has been passionate about since his own son Nyle, now 14 years old, was diagnosed with epilepsy as a toddler.

Glen began his demanding 8,100 mile bicycle journey on April 28th, 2008 traveling from Denver, making his way up the western USA coast into Canada. We hope to show Glen true Canadian hospitality and thanks for his tremendous determination and initiative to raise awareness and support for epilepsy. But we need your support…

We are looking to connect with those who are interested in either being part of:

A)  Welcome reception
B)  Send off breakfast
C)  To support or travel with Glen on the various legs of his grueling journey in the mountains of BC. We are hoping to have someone meet him at his various destinations, or if possible travel part of each leg way with him as a support team.
D) Other ideas/donations welcome!

Let’s show Glen our appreciation and turn out to support this remarkable undertaking of a cross North America trek. Please contact us by email at epilepsy.info@telus.net or by phone 1-866-EPILEPSY (1-866-374-5377) to let us know if you would like to be part of this incredible initiative in British Columbia.

Fraser Canyon and Interior Itinerary

We anticipate Glen will depart from Abbotsford late next week for his journey up the Fraser Canyon.  Hope, to Lytton…Lytton to Cache Creek…Cache Creek to Kamloops…Kamloops to Salmon Arm…Salmon Arm to Revelstoke…Revelstoke to Golden. Once in Golden BC Glen then travels into Alberta and across Canada to Toronto where he will head south to Miami- his home base.

Glen has been deeply inspired by the courage his son Nyle exhibits – not to let his seizures get the best of him.  Glen decided this was a message worth sharing. This is Glen’s third annual epilepsy trek – challenging both himself and others to help make a difference in the lives of those living with epilepsy.  Carrying all his supplies with him, he’ll pedal 8100 miles over approximately 64 days - through mountains, wind, snow, rain, and stifling heat toward his goal of $250,000.00.

We hope you help to welcome Glen in true Canadian fashion as he travels in British Columbia for part of his 8,100 mile journey for epilepsy!
